Len Wood Heat Notice
by Patsy Campbell - Thursday, 1 March 2018, 3:29 PM

                                                                                                                                    March 1, 2018

Dear LWMS Parent/Guardian

Last night we experienced a flood in our boiler room.  As a result, we have temporarily lost heat in the school.  A portable boiler will be installed and we will be using electric space heaters, but the school will be below normal temperatures inside on Friday, March 2nd.  The school will be reaching normal temperatures by the end of day on Friday and the heating situation will return to normal by Monday morning, March 5th.  Running water and hot water are still in service in the school.

School will be open and in session.  Teachers are planning around the heat outage, but please have your child bring a sweater or other warmer clothes to school on Friday morning.  We will do our best to make this a normal school day and we appreciate your support and patience.

If you have any questions, please call me at the school.

Yours Truly,

Scott Anderson
Principal

Stranger Alert Feb 28th
by Patsy Campbell - Wednesday, 28 February 2018, 4:46 PM

                                                                                                                        February 28, 2018

 Dear Parents and Guardians

On February 27 at approximately 2:35 in the afternoon, two of our students were approached by a stranger as they were walking home from the bus stop on Otter Lake Road.  The stranger was driving a white pickup truck and asked the students twice if they wanted a ride.  The students refused twice and kept walking.  The man then drove off.  The students told their parents and the police were called.

Teachers will be discussing the incident with classes.  Please help your children and the community by discussing this information, safety and the importance of not going anywhere with strangers.

If you have any questions, please call me at the school.

Yours Truly

Scott Anderson
Principal
